Your Braava jet® m Series Robot Mop uses the Home Base® to recharge its battery after it's completed a cleaning job, so ensuring the Home Base® is in a good accessible location is a key component to a successful cleaning experience. To begin, choose an area near an outlet with good Wi-Fi coverage. Plug the power cord into the Home Base® and then into the wall. To prevent the risk of your robot falling down stairs, ensure that the Home Base® is placed at least 4 ft (1.2 m) away from stairs. To avoid signal interference ensure the Home base is 3 ft (1 m) away from any additional Home Base® and 8 ft (2.4 m) away from a Virtual Wall® barrier.
Your robot backs up onto the Home Base®, so it's important that the front and sides of the Home Base® are clear of any obstructions.

Additionally, your robot avoids drop offs and very dark surfaces, so it's important that your Home Base® is not too close to a threshold, drop off, black surface, or stairs.
