“Error 99” means your robot was not able to orient itself based on known landmarks, such as walls or furniture. The robot could not complete cleaning and therefore cancelled the cleaning job. The mission report will indicate this as “incomplete”.
To avoid the issue in the future, try the following:
- Be sure not to move the robot while it is running.
- If you moved the robot during a mission, either put it back where it was when it was paused or put it back on its dock.
- Excessive clutter could contribute to this error. Clear cluttered areas or use Dual Mode Virtual Wall® Barriers to block off problem areas.
- Move the dock to a new location – particularly a more open or centralized location.
