Careful Drive is a new feature for s9, s9+ and j9/j9+ owners to have their robots respect their home furnishings and objects.
A couple of notes:
- This mode will not work if you do a "clean everywhere" run. Additionally, this mode's efficacy can be affected by floors with dark surfaces, reflective areas, and objects low to the ground or with minimal surface areas.
- In this mode, the robot will try to avoid touching objects over a certain height threshold.
- The side brush keeps spinning to prevent it from blocking the floor sensor.
- The Clean Map™ created during Careful Drive runs won't contribute to existing Smart Maps.
If you'd like to enable this feature, please do the following:
- In the app, select the robot.
- On the robot's screen, scroll down to "Product Settings".
- Select "Cleaning Preferences".
- Toggle "Careful Drive" to the on position.
