Your Roomba® Plus 400 series, Plus 500 series, and Max 700 series Combo robots contain a small mechanism that slightly lifts its mopping pad(s) in order to avoid making contact with rugs or carpet. Error 1008 means that mechanism failed to work.
Please inspect the mopping pad(s) for any debris that could be obstructing them.
If the map pads are clear, and your robot is still experiencing error 1008, please try rebooting the robot. Reboot the robot by removing it from the dock and holding down the power button on the robot for 10 seconds. Hold the button again for 3 seconds to turn it back on. Doing so should clear the error from the robot's memory. Try running Roomba® again.
