What do I do if Roomba® e and i Series rubber brushes are making noise when cleaning?

Article Details

When cleaning, the rubber brushes on Roomba® can, at times, make a bit more noise on certain types of flooring. If the noise appears to be louder than usual, please confirm the following:

  1. Ensure the brush frame release tab on the right side of the multi-surface brushes is latched securely in place. If this tab is not secure, it could cause additional rattling of the brushes.

  2. Ensure the brushes have been properly maintained and are free of any hair or debris. Also ensure the vacuum path is free of debris.

If these issues persist, it is recommended that you replace the rubber brushes.
