Error thirty-six (36) on Roomba® 200/2000 means that the DustCompactor™ arm inside the bin may no longer move.
The DustCompactor™ bin on Roomba® 200/2000 should hold roughly 60 days worth of debris. Please check to see if it is full.
How to empty the Bin
1. Press the DustCompactor™ bin release button to remove the bin.
2. Open door to empty and clean the bin.
3. Place the bin back in the robot.
IMPORTANT: Do not rinse or soak the bin. Regularly clean the bin to prevent dirt buildup.
When the bin is full, the robot will send you a notification through the app and it will continue cleaning. There is not option to change full bin settings at this time.
If the issue persists, the filter may be clogged. Please clean or replace the filter.
How to Clean the Filter
1. Open bin door and remove the filter. Remove the filter by grasping both ends while pinching the tab and pulling out.
2. Remove debris by tapping the filter against your trash container.
3. Wipe the bin with a clean cloth.
4. Reinsert the filter with ridged grips facing out. Place bin back in the robot.
