Emptying the Bin

1. Press the bin release tab to open the lid.

2. Lift up on the handle to remove the bin.
   
3. Over a trash container, press the bin release button to empty the bin.
   
   

Filter  
1. Open the filter door and remove the filter by grasping the tab.
   
2. Shake off debris by tapping the filter against a trash container.
   

3. If NOT washing the bin, reinsert the filter and close the door.

 Important: The filter door won’t close unless a filter is reinserted correctly. We recommend replacing the filter every two months.


Washing the Bin 

 Important:  Do not wash the filter. Remove the filter before washing the bin.

    1. If filter is in the bin, remove the filter.
    2. Rinse the bin with warm water.
    


   
 
   

   3. Air dry the bin. Make sure the bin is completely dry, reinsert the filter and place the bin back into the robot.


Full Bin Sensors 

 1. Remove the bin from the robot and empty the bin.
 2. Wipe the inner full bin sensors in the bin well with a clean, dry microfiber or soft cotton cloth.
   
 3. Wash the bin without the filter, or gently clean the bin to ensure the sensor ports are clean.
   
  4. Air dry the bin. Make sure the bin is completely dry before reinserting the filter into the bin.
  5. Place the bin back into the robot.

Corner Brush
1. Use a small screwdriver to loosen the screw holding the Corner Brush in place.
2. Pull to remove the Corner Brush. Remove any hair or debris, then reinstall the brush and tighten the screw.

    
Rear Caster Wheel 
1. Pull firm on the Rear Caster Wheel to remove it from the robot.
2. Pull firmly on the wheel to remove it from the housing. (See illustration below)
3. Remove any debris from the wheel cavity.
4. Reinstall all parts when finished ensuring the wheel clicks back into place.


   

    
 Important: A rear wheel clogged with hair and debris could result in damage to your floor. If the wheel is not spinning freely after you have cleaned it, please contact iRobot Customer Care.


Multi-Surface Rubber Brushes 

1. Place the robot vacuum upside down on a flat surface and locate the brush frame release tab on the right side of the cleaning head and press on the tab to lift the latch.
 
2. Remove the brushes from the robot and ensure hair and debris is removed from the square and hex pegs of the multi-surface brushes. Remove the brush caps from the ends of the brushes. Remove any hair or debris that has collected beneath the caps. Reinstall the brush caps.
   
3. Remove any hair or debris from the square and star pegs on the opposite side of the brushes.
   
4. Reinstall the brushes in the robot. Match the shape of the brush pegs with the shape of the brush icons in the cleaning head module.
   
5. Remove the bin from the robot and clear any debris from the vacuum path.
   
   

Charging Contacts and Sensors  
1. Wipe the sensors, camera window, and charging contacts with a clean, dry microfiber or soft cotton cloth.
