To add subtitles and have a translation of the video audio explanation, please follow the next steps:
- On a Computer: Within the video, click on the gear button, select subtitles, and then choose your preferred language.
- On a smart device: Within the video, click the CC button on the top right corner to turn on captions and then click on the gear button, select Captions, and choose your preferred language.
Important: Please remove the battery before removing and replacing the Cleaning Head Module.

Newer versions of these series will be non-modular, meaning the cleaning head module cannot be replaced.

There are two easy ways to confirm whether you can replace the cleaning head module or if we should send the robot for repair instead.
- Check the Serial Number. If the eighth digit is the letter N or Z, the robot is not modular. Example: i557020NYYMMDDN4##### or i557020ZYYMMDDN4#####. If it's any other letter, the module can be replaced.
- Flip the robot over and look for a battery door. If your robot has a battery door, then the bottom cover does not come off, and the cleaning head module cannot be replaced. Please contact iRobot Customer Care.
If the robot has an original bottom cover with the 5 screws and no battery door, then the cleaning head module can be replaced.

If the battery is removed from the robot for 15 minutes, the battery will turn off. If Roomba® is not turning on after the battery has been removed, place the robot on the Home Base® to wake it up.

Press the bin release button on the back of the robot to remove the bin. The bin release tab has a 
bin icon on it.

Loosen the Edge Sweeping Brush screw with a flat head screwdriver and remove the Edge Sweeping Brush.

Loosen the five (5) screws that retain the bottom cover with a cross-head screwdriver.
- Remove the battery before removing and replacing the Cleaning Head Module.
- Loosen the four (4) screws that retain the Cleaning Head Module and remove it from the robot.
- Place the replacement Cleaning Head Module and then tighten the four (4) screws.
- Place the bottom cover back on the robot and then tighten the five (5) screws.
- Install the Edge Sweeping Brush and then tighten the Edge Sweeping Brush screw.
- Slide the bin into the bin slot, securing it in place.
