Article Details

Roomba 500–900 Series, e Series, i Series, j Series, s Series and m Series will tell you something is wrong with the light ring turning red followed by a narrated voice. A message or notification may also appear in the iRobot® HOME App.

Charging requires the battery, the robot and the Home Base all to be working properly.

Roomba® and Braava® are designed to detect a variety of temporary and permanent faults in any of these three components, and halt charging to ensure safety and allow you to correct the problem.

These error codes let you zero in on which part of the system is not working optimally.  And if user servicing does not correct the problem, the error codes enable our care agents to take the best corrective action and get your robot charging as quickly as possible so you can enjoy a clean home.

Important: Use only genuine iRobot® batteries. Be wary of Unauthorized Resellers and Counterfeit Products. Using aftermarket purchased batteries may result in the following Charging Errors, and will void the Warranty.
