Error 33 means your Roomba® is unable to plan a path out of an area. It cannot complete cleaning and has cancelled its cleaning job.
- Ensure there were no changes to the environment during the cleaning mission (i.e. closed door, moved furniture)
- Is it possible that Roomba® drove over a transition, such as doorway thresholds, that it cannot drive over again to leave the area?
- Ensure the house has adequate light (daylight or dim lighting is sufficient) for your Roomba® to navigate. Extremely dark rooms could cause problems with navigation and coverage
- Clear cluttered areas. Excessive clutter could contribute to this error
If the error persists, please reboot the robot by holding down the power button on the robot for 10 seconds, then hold the button again for 3 seconds to turn it back on. Doing so should clear the error from the robot's memory. Try running Roomba® again.
If the error persists after rebooting, check the wheels. Turn the robot over and rotate the wheels fully. If one wheel is more difficult to rotate than the other, there could be wheel module failure.
If the wheels are rotating normally, please clean your robot’s brushes, wheels, and sensors. Then try running Roomba® again. Be sure to wipe both the robot and dock sensors. Here are links for step-by-step care instructions.
