Error 517 or Error 672 on Roomba® Plus 400 and Plus 500 means there must be a clog somewhere preventing the dock from removing the liquid from this overflow basin.
To help resolve this, please follow these steps:
- Wipe out the pad washing basin with a clean, dry cloth.
- Lift the filter by the tab to clean it.
- Ensure there are no obstructions in the drainage port. Mild soap and a sponge may be used for stubborn debris.

Please inspect the dirty water tank lid to ensure that it has a plastic gasket. This gasket helps to make sure there is a proper seal for suction.
Please ensure you are using only water or approved cleaning solutions. Unapproved cleaning solutions may clog the overflow basin with soapy residue.
