The Roomba® indicators and buttons will turn colors and pulse at varying speeds to indicate the robot's status.

IconBehaviorWhat it Means
Battery

Displays the status of the battery.

Battery status:

  • Solid Red = Battery Discharged
  • Blinking Red = Charging Error
  • Amber Pulse = Charging
  • Solid Green = Fully Charged
Full Bin

Displays when the bin is full.

The full bin indicator lets you know when the dust bin is full and needs to be emptied. Please empty the bin and clean the sensor ports when this indicator illuminates.

CLEAN

Illuminates green when Roomba® is awake and ready to clean.

Press CLEAN to wake Roomba® up. The CLEAN button will illuminate green. Press CLEAN on the robot or in the iRobot® HOME App to start or resume a cleaning cycle.

Dirt Detect

Will blink when Roomba® is in Dirt Detect mode.

Roomba® uses optical and acoustic sensors to find dirt and debris and perform concentrated cleaning in the areas where it's needed most.

Dock

Button press.

Press this button to manually send Roomba® back to the Home Base®.

If Roomba® is running, press CLEAN to pause Roomba® before pressing Dock.

SPOT Clean

Button press.

Press this button to activate Spot Clean mode.

Troubleshooting

Blinks when Roomba® has an issue or error.

The troubleshooting indicator blinks when there is an issue. Visit error messages if Roomba® encounters an error while it is running. Visit charging error messages if Roomba® encounters an issue while charging.

Wi-Fi

Green
Blinking Slowly

During the iRobot® HOME App set-up, Roomba® is broadcasting wireless Access Point (AP) and/or attempting to connect to Wi-Fi network.

White
Solid

Roomba® is connected to a Wi-Fi network.

Red
Blinking or Solid

During the iRobot® HOME App set-up, Roomba® had an error when trying to connect to the App. Visit network cannot be set up to connect.
